Book Review: When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

Just finished this book and I can’t stop thinking about Paul, his wife and daughter.

It starts of quite slow and I was tempted to stop reading but something in me kept pushing on. Once I got past a good chunk, it picked up.

Paul is on the verge of completing his training as a neurosurgeon when he is diagnosed with inoperable cancer. He takes us on his journey to the end. Yes, you read right, to the END!

The epilogue at the end, written by his wife had me in tears. I’ve never cried so much reading a book. Paul left this world, with his story unfinished. His wife finished it for him. ❤️

He left behind an eight month old daughter, the thought alone breaks my heart. It’s left me counting my blessings for sure and wanting to appreciate my loved ones, especially my hubby. Sad read.
