Book Review: Tom Gates books by Liz Pichon

My daughter Saarah fell in love with these books, from the very first one she read. Now, my son Isa, has devoured every copy in our home within a couple of weeks!

Liz Pichon has won numerous awards for these books, so I couldn’t help purchasing these.

Now, I’ve not read a full book as of yet, however I have read chapters here and there with the kids for their bedtime reads and I have found myself giggling in places.

I’ve asked my kids to summarize the books and here’s the gist of them all.

Tom is a ordinary school boy, who’s in a band and enjoys doodling. He finds himself in situations and manages to wiggle his way out. He has an annoying sister, who doesn’t seem to leave him alone. He has a best friend Derek, who’s always by his side.

These books are filled with hilarious jokes and drawings that bring the book to life. Everything’s in diary entry style and it’ll make you giggle.
